Damaged Edges

When I took my last set of braids out my edges didn't fair so well. My usual braiders sister braided my hair and obviously braided my edges to tight. Word to the wise that braids done to tightly can wreck your hair!! Check out my edges....they will grow back, but what a pain to have to deal with in the first place.

Sorry about your edges. I'm sure it will grow back. Has this happened before? I've been a little paranoid about getting braids put in before I head out of town for two weeks. I think it should be fine since I have a natural hair stylist.

Hi Naturalbeauty...no this have never happened before. It''s simply becasue my hiar was braided to tight. While the rest of my head was able to handle the breaids with no problem, the delicate hair along my hairline did not fare as well.

You are right, it will grow back, its doing so already...YEAH!

tnt5150 I know you posted this YEARS ago, but I googled "damaged edges" and it lead me to this post. I would like to know what you used to repair and regrow your edges. My aunt is having the same problem due to braids and I believe my breakage is due to ponytails. Thanks in advance.
